The complete renovation of Restaurant Barbara aims to preserve the building’s historic character while creating a contemporary and inviting gastronomic atmosphere. Across an area of approximately 105 m², a clear and efficient functional layout was developed: the restaurant and café are symmetrically arranged around a central entrance, forming a well-defined reception and distribution zone that ensures smooth circulation for both guests and staff.
The spatial character of the inn is shaped by carefully positioned openings and a thoughtful interior design concept. Light, natural materials, warm wooden surfaces, and subtle grey tones create a bright, welcoming, and refined ambiance. Custom-made furniture and built-in elements make optimal use of the available space and integrate seamlessly into the overall composition. Traditional details and textures are reinterpreted with contemporary precision, creating a harmonious balance between familiarity, craftsmanship, and modernity.
With this sensitive renovation, the inn has been respectfully transformed for today while preserving its authentic soul. It continues to serve as a social meeting place at the heart of the community, showing how architecture can unite history, functionality, and atmosphere into a coherent and lasting identity.
